Eisenhower Girls Atletics hosts annual Sportathon
The Eisenhower Middle School Girls Athletic Program held its tenth annual Sport-A-Thon in May. The athletes chose to shoot baskets, serve volleyballs, or run laps on the track for pledges. The money earned is used toward purchasing equipment and making improvements in the gym and locker room.
This year's event was extremely successful. Thanks to the support of parents, administration, faculty, and the community, the girls raised over $20,000. The Eisesnhower athletes are extremely appreciative of all the hard work and vounteer hours that went into putting on the Sport-A-Thon. Most of all, the campus is appreciative of the work the young ladies did to earn this money that will not only benefit them, but also future Eisenhower athletes.
