Dellview fifth graders experience college life

Students walk by the Biotechnology Sciences and Engineering Building at the 1604 campus.

Dellview Elementary School fifth grade students had the opportunity to visit the UTSA campus last week. The students went on a scavenger hunt to get a better understanding of what attending college would look like.

The students then got to enjoy a UTSA Volleyball game to see how academics and sports go hand in hand. The field trip was coordinated by Dellviews 5th grade teachers Claudine Prochnow, Rose Stevens and Deborah Clark as well as the school counslor Beth Vacek and family specialist Mayra Martinez. The students enjoyed their time at UTSA and gained a better understanding of what goals they need to make now to attend college in the future.
