Dellview plays fairy tale frenzy

First graders at Dellview Elementary School participated in a friendly game show style competition, the Fairy Tale Frenzy, in the library on March 23.

The students read various traditional fairy tales, as well as their fractured counter parts throughout the year, comparing the tales using Venn diagrams. Participating in the Frenzy was the culminating activity.

Each class had a team of three participants plus one alternate. The teams were chosen after taking a qualifying test. The top three scorers were chosen for the team and the fourth top scorer was the alternate. The rest of the students were supporters for their team members. All of the children enjoyed learning the different fairy tales and competing. They are looking forward to participating in the Fairy Tale Frenzy in second grade.
