Coker students are thankful

can food drive

Before the Thanksgiving break, Coker Elementary School's Student Council hosted their annual canned food drive. Members of the Student Council made unique boxes for students and staff to put their canned food in.

The boxes were located all over the school. “My favorite box was the one that was decorated like a snowman," said Megan Goodyear, fifth grader.

This annual event was a huge success. "In the past we have collected over 1,000 pounds of food," said Suzanne Horan, student council sponsor. "We're hoping to beat last year's record!"
