Clear Spring Fitness is Family Focused
Clear Spring held its first Fun Family Fitness of the school year on Sept. 17. The event attracted 111 community members as they participated in activities like volleyball, basketball, rock wall climbing, ladder ball, jump rope, hula hoops and hippity hops.
“I love being with the families and seeing them have fun with each other. It really builds a sense of community. I also enjoy bringing my three year old daughter and having her be an active part of the Clear Spring community,” said Assistant Principal Catherine Harper
Clear Spring started Fun Family Fitness last year and has seen a steady climb in attendance. The goal is to motivate the community to be active and create an environment that supports health and wellness. As families left the event they were encouraged to take a cold bottle of water.
“Family fitness night was an awesome idea,” said De Andrea Wilson-De La Garza, a kindergarten mom. “I enjoy anything and everything that pertains to my son. Coach May did an awesome job putting the function together and also joining in on all the activities. I am super excited about the opportunity I had to spend with my son and I cannot wait until the next family fitness night.”
The next Fun Family Fitness will be Monday, October 21 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
