Churchill can food drive raises to benefit SA Food Bank

donation

Churchill High School raised 1170 lbs. of food for the SA Food Drive. Parliament hosted the can food drive from the week of November 4 through November 8, raising money through class competitions.

Classes during 3rd period brought in cans to their teachers who also got involved in the competition. The top three donating classes received a pizza party courtesy of Parliament; in addition the 1st place class received cupcakes and drinks to go along with their pizza.

Walter Johnson's 3rd period came in 1st while Melanie Campbell's class came in 2nd place and Debbie Harral's class came in a close 3rd place. The campus would like to give a big thank you to all the classes that participated in the canned food drive.
