Churchill club hosts penny drive for Multiple Sclerosis
The Best Global Citizens Club at Churchill High School has committed themselves to raising a monetary amount over the course of 153 days for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). On March 1, students will get to see their efforts put together in one lump sum that will be donated to the national MS foundation.
Students will also have the opportunity to volunteer or walk in the event San Antonio on March 1. "We are doing this in correlation with learning about global citizenship and how important it is to not only live in this world but to participate in this world," said Global Citizens club sponsor, Amy Robbins, World Geography teacher at the campus.
Students will be taking donations from Oct. 1 - Mar. 1.
