NEISD's Maria Rodriguez wins educational trip to japan
As part of Hilton HHonors' Teacher Treks Travel Grant Competition, Maria Rodriguez, science dean at Churchill High School has won a free trip to Japan this summer.
Developed in partnership with the Institute of International Education, the competition offers 15 teachers the chance to travel the world and share their experiences with students. Thirty finalists from all over the world were selected by a panel of judges that includes teachers and other education experts selected by the Institute of International Education.
The trip is valued at $6,000 and will send Rodriguez to Japan to experience first-hand the subject she teaches, enriching her curriculum to inspire students to explore the world.
