Automotive Technology Academy students celebrate success

The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) will be presenting three $500 scholarships and a full scholarship to a Manufacturers Specific School to three Automotive Technology Academy (ATA) students for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their District Skills USA automotive competition.

The first place winner, Francisco Guerrero will advance on to State and compete in the "Hands-On" automotive contest with an opportunity to compete in the National Skills USA competition. Second and third place winners, Rodrigo Viveros and Derek Thompson will advance on to State and compete by taking an Automotive Service Technology test.


Francisco will advance to state competition after earning first place.
