KIN Assistant:

Hours range from 2:15-6:30 p.m.for elementary sites (3:00-6:30 p.m.for middle schools) Monday through Friday for all regular school days.

Additional professional development required.

KIN Assistant reponsibilities:

Assist in organizational set-up and restoration of facilities in daily program area
Assist in maintaining supplies and equipment for daily activities
Assist in maintaining supervision of small group activities
Assist in implementation of daily enrichment plans
Assist in planning and directing daily recreational activities
Attend all staff training and staff meetings
Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma and/or General Education Degree
Effective oral and written communication skills
Experience working with children
Possess good organizational and problem solving skills
Strong academic background in basic skills
Ability to function as integral part of a team
Ability to oversee indoor and outdoor recreational activities on a daily basis

Direct staff in planning and implementing all activities
Coordinate ongoing staff training
Facilitate staff meetings
Customize curriculum
Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
Possess basic computer skills
Ability to direct small staff (4-12 people) and function as a integral part of a team
Supervisory experience
Effective oral and written communication skills
Experience working with children
Possess good organizational and problem solving skills
Strong academic background
Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
