Adult education Program Information
The North East ISD Adult Education Program offers FREE:
GED Preparation Classes
These classes are designed for students preparing to take the 2014 GED® TEST. Students will be instructed in Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science.
GED TANF Preparation Classes
Open enrollment, as space permits, for GED students who receive TANF, Medicaid, food stamps, CHIP, WIC, CCDS or Reduced Lunch Program.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
These classes are for adults 18 and over whose first language is not English. ESL classes focus on learning how to read, understand, and write the English language. This includes interactive conversation, pronunciation, and assimilation into American culture and traditions.
ESL For adults 18 and older only. Participants are required to provide some form of government issued photo ID.
GED/GED TANF Enrollment requirements:
- Applicants 18 and older are required to provide some form of government issued photo ID
- 17 year olds must provide written permission from a parent/legal guardian and official school withdrawal document
- Individuals who are 16 years of age need the above documentation, as well as court order documentation
