GED Preparation Class

GED Preparation Class

Students will be instructed in Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science. These classes are designed for students preparing to take the 2014 GED® TEST.

GED Registration

It is highly recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the registration process. Limited space available, first come first serve. During registration only the registrant will be permitted in the registration/assessment room. Guardians for registrants under 18 will need to sign paperwork, but will need to leave student shortly after so that the assessments can begin. Registrants 16 years of age need a court order. Registrants should plan on staying the entire time to complete the registration process (4 hours). Please bring at least one form of identification. Late arrivals will not be accepted.

GED Orientation

In addition to the registration every student must attend the GED orientation. MANDATORY - It is highly recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the orientation process. Please plan on staying the entire time to complete the orientation process. Late arrivals will not be accepted. Family members are welcome to come and sit through the orientation process with you. Once orientation is completed, you will be assigned a class at any of our convenient locations based on availability.

*Registration, Orientation, and classes are free of charge.

NO CHILDREN ALLOWED DURING THE REGISTRATION/ORIENTATION PROCESS.

MANDATORY

All students must attend 12 hours. No exceptions! Students will choose 3 sessions. Students may NOT attend more than one session in a day. Bring notebook and pen/pencil.

No children allowed.

Students may bring light snacks and drinks with lids. No full meals allowed.

Items to bring to Registration:

16 years- One form of identification, one copy of a court order from a judge requesting GED classes for the child, a copy of the withdrawal from school, and a parent/guardian signature.

17 years – One form of identification, a copy of the withdrawal from school, and a parent/guardian signature.

18 and older- At least one form of identification.
